Motorcyclist dies in collision with lorry near Woodlands Checkpoint; pillion hospitalised
A 23-year-old motorcyclist died following a collision with a lorry near Woodlands Checkpoint on 25 July. His 23-year-old pillion was taken unconscious to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, while the lorry driver is assisting police with investigations.

A 23-year-old motorcyclist died following an accident involving a lorry near Woodlands Checkpoint on the morning of 25 July 2025.
The Singapore Police Force (SPF) and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were alerted to the collision along the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) towards the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE), just before the Seletar Expressway (SLE) exit, at about 6:50am.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by an SCDF paramedic. His pillion, also a 23-year-old man, was found unconscious and taken to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital for treatment.
Police said the lorry driver, a 39-year-old man, is assisting with investigations into the incident.
A video posted on the Singapore Roads Accident.com Facebook page showed a blue police tent next to a lorry carrying prefabricated construction material. Blood and debris were visible near the scene.
Traffic along the affected stretch of the expressway was temporarily slowed as emergency crews responded.
Investigations into the cause of the accident are ongoing.
