CHINA: A 30-year-old courier in Suzhou was killed after being attacked during a dispute over a misplaced parcel.

According to local media, the incident occurred at about 7pm on 17 October 2025.

The victim, identified by family as Li, worked as a contracted courier at a China Post delivery outlet in Suzhou.

He was responsible for deliveries in the local area and was on his usual route when the dispute unfolded.

Li reportedly delivered a parcel intended for a woman surnamed Wu to an incorrect spot several hundred metres away, near Weiting Jinling West Road.

After realising the error, he attempted multiple times to call Wu to explain and discuss collection arrangements, but received no answer.

Argument escalates

After repeated calls, Wu’s husband eventually picked up.

Local media reported that Wu, upset over the delayed delivery, went to the location where the parcel had been left.

A heated argument followed between the couple and the courier.

During the confrontation, Wu’s husband allegedly lost control and attacked Li with a knife.
