The video, shared by China Insider on Instagram, shows a zookeeper sitting quietly on a stool, keeping watch over several tiger cubs. Moments later, one mischievous cub stealthily creeps up behind him before leaping onto his waist in a surprise “attack.”
Startled for only a second, the caretaker bursts into laughter, scoops up the cub, and holds it affectionately — a clear sign of the strong bond between the park’s staff and the young animals.
Inside the world’s largest Siberian tiger reserve
Located in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, the Siberian Tiger Park spans 1.2 million square metres and is home to more than 600 tigers, making it the world’s largest natural reserve for the endangered species.
