Shooting on Malaysian highway leaves one dead, another wounded

Two men were found with gunshot wounds inside a car on Jalan Rasah, Seremban, with one later dying in hospital. A viral video captured the aftermath — showing one victim slumped in the driver’s seat. Police say both had criminal histories and are investigating the case as murder.

MALAYSIA: Two local men were shot while travelling in a car along Jalan Rasah towards the Port Dickson Toll Plaza early Tuesday morning (10 December).

The incident, believed to have occurred around 8 am.

The aftermath of the attack was captured in a video taken by a passer-by and has since circulated online.

One Victim Dies in Hospital

Footage shows one man slumped in the driver’s seat of a white Perodua Myvi, with blood visible inside and outside the vehicle.

Both victims were rushed to Hospital Tunku Jaafar by members of the public.

Negeri Sembilan Police Chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad confirmed that one of the men, aged 43, died while receiving treatment.

The other victim, a 47-year-old man, remains critically injured.

Victims Had Prior Criminal Records

Police said initial checks found several bullet casings and bloodstains at the scene.

Investigations revealed that the deceased was believed to be the bodyguard of the second victim, who has 15 prior criminal records.

Authorities are still working to determine the motive behind the shooting.

Case Classified Under Murder and Firearms Offences

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder and Section 3 of the Firearms (Special Provisions) Act 1971.
