SINGAPORE: A video showing a woman stepping in to stop a fight between two young girls at a Housing Board (HDB) void deck has gone viral across social media platforms.
The 28-second clip, first shared on sgfollowsall’s Telegram chat group on 10 November, shows as many as five girls involved in the scene — two fighting, one seen trying to pull one of them away, another standing behind, and the person recording the footage.
One girl is seen confronting another before slapping her.
The pair then wrestle, spinning and falling to the ground before one straddles the other, slapping her repeatedly.

Woman intervenes and scolds those involved
Moments later, a woman strides into the frame, shouting at the pair and slapping the aggressor lightly on the shoulder.
The girl, who claims she was bullied, stands up as the woman continues to reprimand both. The clip ends with the woman scolding all the girls present.
Online reactions and police response
The video has prompted mixed reactions online.
Many users on Facebook commended the woman’s actions. One comment read: “Yes, the woman who stopped the fight got my respect.” Another added: “Whoever that woman is, I applaud you.”
In response to media queries, police said they were unable to confirm if a report had been made due to a lack of information.
