A member of Indonesia’s flag-raising team (Paskibraka) in Southwest Papua nearly fainted while on duty during the Independence Day ceremony at the parade ground of Mako Lantamal XIV (Main Naval Base XIV) in Sorong on Sunday, 17 August 2025.
Viral footage shared on social media shows the cadet losing balance just before the formation began to march.
Two teammates positioned on either side immediately grabbed his arms, holding him steady and preventing him from falling.
Thanks to their quick action, the formation remained intact, and the team managed to walk in unison to the edge of the field without disrupting the ceremony.
The exhausted cadet was then escorted off the field to receive treatment from the medical team and personnel of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI).
The moment quickly went viral online, with many Indonesians praising the solidarity and presence of mind displayed by the Paskibraka members.
