Chinese tourist dies after fall at Kansai International Airport

A Chinese man in his twenties died after falling from the fourth floor of Kansai International Airport. Police were alerted earlier when he was seen sitting on a guardrail. Authorities are investigating the events leading up to the incident.

OSAKA: A Chinese national in his twenties died on Tuesday afternoon (25 November) after falling from a height inside Kansai International Airport’s Terminal 1.

The incident happened at around 2.30pm, when police received reports from passers-by about a man sitting on a guardrail along the fourth floor of the terminal building.

Rescue Attempt Ends in Tragedy

When officers arrived, they found the man suspended from the guardrail and clinging to the edge.

During police efforts to rescue him, the man fell from the elevated position to the ground level below.

Paramedics transported him to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Traveling With His Mother

Initial investigations indicate the deceased was a Chinese tourist visiting Japan with his mother.

Local authorities have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances that led to the incident.
