Johor mother wakes up to find 6-year-old son with slashed neck
A mother in Johor woke up to a horrifying scene — her six-year-old son was found with severe injuries to his neck, believed to have been caused by a sharp weapon. The motive and attacker remain unknown.

JOHOR, Malaysia — A mother in Johor was horrified to wake up and find her young son with severe injuries to his neck early on Sunday morning (27 Oct).
According to the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), officers from Batu Pahat district received a report regarding the incident at around 9 am.
District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Shahrulnuar Mushaddat said the 40-year-old woman had woken up at about 5.30 am and was shocked to find her six-year-old son seriously wounded.
Police believe sharp weapon used
Initial investigations suggest that the child’s injuries were caused by a sharp weapon.
Police are probing the case under Section 326 of the Penal Code for causing grievous hurt by using a weapon or a dangerous object.
“The case is still at an early stage and further investigations are being carried out to determine the motive behind the incident,” said ACP Shahrulnuar in a statement.
Authorities warn against sharing victim’s photos
Images related to the incident have been circulating on social media.
Shahrulnuar cautioned the public against spreading such content, warning that doing so could disrupt the ongoing investigation.
He also reminded that sharing photos of child victims may constitute an offence under Section 15 of the Children’s Act 2001.
Police are continuing efforts to identify the perpetrator and establish the motive behind the attack.
