MALAYSIA: A food delivery rider in Malaysia is completing as many as 50 orders a day despite losing his left hand in a road accident nearly eight years ago, a feat that has drawn widespread admiration.
Ahmad Nabil Rosli, 26, from Kertih in Kemaman, Terengganu, regularly completes between 30 and 50 food deliveries daily through discipline and perseverance, Sinar Harian reported.
“Usually, I complete around 30 orders. Alhamdulillah, I have also broken my own record in a single day. I once managed to complete almost 50 deliveries,” he told the newspaper.
Nabil said he typically works from morning until night, accepting orders whenever demand is high.
“It starts from morning until night because working as a rider has its ups and downs. When there are days with good fortune and orders keep coming in, I just accept them,” he said.
Delivering food using only one hand, Nabil said his growing number of daily orders reflects his determination to carry out every task responsibly.
“I once wondered if it was possible to reach 50 orders in a day. Alhamdulillah, at that time, the sustenance was truly there,” he said.
Nabil lost his left hand following a motorcycle accident in 2017 that left him in a coma after his vehicle was dragged along the road and caught fire.
“My father told me that my heart stopped for half an hour and the doctors made every effort to save me. It was a critical moment,” he said.
He described the incident as a second chance at life.
“Who wouldn’t cry at that time? But many people were kind and understanding and they gave me words of encouragement. Alhamdulillah,” he added.
Nabil no longer wears a prosthetic hand due to nerve pain, and credits the support of his parents, siblings and close friends for helping him regain confidence and independence.
He also shares his daily routine on TikTok under the handle @KingOfOneHand, using his platform to inspire others and encourage the public not to give up in the face of challenges.
