Police officer injured as suspect with 25 criminal records tries to flee arrest at Malaysian gas station
A police officer was injured during an attempted arrest at a gas station in Klang, Malaysia, after a 33-year-old suspect tried to flee in his car. The suspect, who has 25 prior criminal records including drug-related offences, allegedly pushed the officer and nearly ran him over while escaping. Police later arrested the man in Bandar Bukit Tinggi, Klang.

MALAYSIA: A viral video that appeared to show a shooting incident at a gas station in Klang was clarified by police to be an arrest attempt involving a suspect trying to evade capture.
In a statement issued on Wednesday (13 November), the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) confirmed that no shooting took place during the incident, which occurred around 2.30 pm on Tuesday (12 November).
South Klang District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Ramli Kasa said the 33-year-old suspect, believed to be involved in a robbery case in Subang Jaya, attempted to escape when approached by police officers at the station.
Ramli said investigations showed that the suspect became aggressive during the arrest attempt, pushing a police officer before fleeing in his car.
In the process, the vehicle struck and nearly ran over the officer’s legs before colliding with another car belonging to the police team.
The officer sustained injuries and was treated at Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital (HTAR), while the police car was damaged.
Suspect Arrested After Attempted Escape
Ramli said the suspect later drove against traffic along Persiaran Raja Muda Musa toward Shah Alam before abandoning his Toyota Vios on the roadside at Persiaran Sultan Ibrahim.
He was subsequently arrested at 12.45 am on Wednesday in Bandar Bukit Tinggi, Klang.
The suspect, a 33-year-old Malaysian man, has 25 prior criminal records, including five related to drugs.
Police said the case is being investigated under Sections 186 and 307 of the Penal Code for obstructing a public servant and attempted murder.
