13 taken to hospital after accident involving two buses and car in Tampines
Thirteen people, including 12 bus passengers and a driver, were injured in a collision involving two buses and a private hire car in Tampines on 5 August.

SINGAPORE: Thirteen people were taken to hospital on 5 August 2025 following a traffic accident involving two buses and a private hire car in Tampines.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the incident at about 10.20am near the junction of Tampines Avenue 2 and Tampines Avenue 7.
Police confirmed that the accident involved two SBS Transit buses and a private hire car. Thirteen individuals aged between 30 and 69 were conscious when taken to hospital.
Those injured included 12 bus passengers and the 69-year-old bus driver.
According to SCDF, five were conveyed to Changi General Hospital and eight to Sengkang General Hospital.
Videos circulating on social media showed both buses damaged at the scene, with one appearing to have sustained severe front-end impact. SCDF personnel were seen assisting the injured as bystanders gathered nearby.
Chinese-language newspaper Lianhe Zaobao reported that the car involved was a private hire vehicle.
SBS Transit said in a post on X (formerly Twitter) at 10.45am that several bus services experienced delays due to the collision, but services later resumed normal operations.
Police investigations into the cause of the accident are ongoing.
