SINGAPORE: A 22-year-old Nanyang Technological University (NTU) student was arrested after he was seen walking completely naked on campus on the morning of 9 November.

A video of the incident, which circulated on social media on 11 November, shows the man strolling along a pavement near a road.

In response to media queries, the police said they received a call for assistance at about 10.15am on 9 November, opposite 110 Nanyang Crescent — the address of NTU’s Sports & Recreation Centre.

A police spokesperson confirmed that a 22-year-old man was arrested for appearing nude in a public place, adding that no injuries were reported.

Investigations are ongoing.

An NTU spokesperson said campus security located the male student shortly after receiving reports of him walking naked in an outdoor public area. He was subsequently detained by the police.

The university has since reached out to the student involved, as well as other affected students, to offer support where necessary.

“NTU remains committed to maintaining a safe and respectful campus environment and will take the necessary measures to protect the campus community,” the spokesperson added.
