23-year-old to be charged with murder over fatal slashing at Marine Parade condo

A 23-year-old man will be charged with murder after a 68-year-old man died in hospital following a slashing incident at Laguna Park condominium in Marine Parade on Thursday afternoon (13 Nov 2025).

Police said they received calls for assistance at about 12.45pm at 5000C Marine Parade Road, the address of Laguna Park.

Officers found a 68-year-old man injured; he was taken unconscious to hospital, where he later died.

The 23-year-old was arrested at the scene. Two penknives were recovered and seized.

Preliminary investigations indicate the men had a dispute.

The suspect will be charged in court on Saturday. If convicted of murder, he faces the death penalty.
