The total COE quota for the three-month period stands at 18,701, up from 18,232 between May and July.

Compared to the same period in 2024, the COE quota has risen by over 22 per cent, reflecting adjustments to accommodate projected vehicle growth and population needs.

Analysts note that COE premiums are influenced by supply, demand, and prevailing economic conditions, and the current increases may affect car-buying decisions for both small and large vehicles.
