Crane boom collapse at Sin Ming Residences BTO site injures 37-year-old worker
A 37-year-old worker was injured when a crane boom broke and fell during dismantling at the Sin Ming Residences Build-To-Order site on 10 October 2025. Authorities say investigations are underway, and safety procedures at the site are being reviewed.

A 37-year-old worker was injured after a crane boom broke and fell at the Sin Ming Residences Build-To-Order site on 10 October 2025.
The incident happened around 5.25pm at 28 Sin Ming Street.
Authorities say the worker was nearby during the dismantling of a mobile crane when the jib suddenly gave way, striking him on-site.
According to The Straits Times, he was taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital, where he later underwent surgery.
The Ministry of Manpower and HDB say investigations are ongoing, and safety measures at the site are being reviewed.
The occupier of the site is Kwan Yong Construction, while the injured man is employed by Moh Seng Cranes.
HDB said it is working with the contractor to assist the worker’s family and ensure full cooperation with authorities.
