Fire Broke Out in Cabin Compartment
According to the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), officers were alerted to the blaze at around 10.15 am.
When firefighters arrived, they found flames coming from the cabin compartment of the truck, which houses the driver’s area and control systems.
The fire was contained using a hosereel, preventing it from spreading to the rear section of the vehicle.
Swift Response Prevented Escalation
SCDF officers extinguished the fire within minutes.
No injuries were reported among the vehicle’s occupants or passing motorists.
Traffic slowed temporarily as emergency vehicles occupied one lane to manage the situation, but flow resumed after the scene was secured.
SCDF said the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
