Police Report and Arrests
Baling district acting police chief Deputy Superintendent Ahmad Salimi Mat Ali said a police report was lodged on Sunday (12 Oct) at 11 am by a 53-year-old individual, after the school’s discipline teacher alerted them about a compromising video involving their child.
Three of the suspects, including a former student, were detained that night around 9.30 pm to assist investigations.
Preliminary findings suggest the alleged acts took place between May and August in several classrooms within the school compound.
All four suspects were remanded for five days, and six mobile phones were confiscated for forensic examination.
Investigation Under Penal Code
According to Harian Metro, the case is being investigated under Section 375B of the Penal Code for gang rape, as well as for the distribution of child-related explicit material.

Similar Case in Melaka
The Baling case comes shortly after another high-profile investigation in Melaka, where a 15-year-old student was allegedly gang rape by four Form 5 schoolmates on 2 October 2025.
The incident reportedly occurred when the victim returned to her classroom to collect a personal item, and footage of the act later circulated online.
On 16 October, the Attorney-General’s Chambers announced that the four suspects in the Melaka case would face multiple charges at a magistrates’ court, including gang rape and carnal intercourse against the order of nature, as well as offences involving minors.
Although permitted to sit for their Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examinations, two of the suspects are expected to be charged.
All four have since been expelled from the school.
Separate Fatal Stabbing Case in Selangor
In a separate incident, a 14-year-old boy was arrested in Selangor after allegedly fatally stabbing a 16-year-old girl at a Damansara school on 14 October.
The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
Prime Minister’s Response
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has since expressed concern over the rising number of violent and sexual offences among students, attributing part of the trend to the unrestrained use of social media.
