Actress Nana counter-sued by man arrested for breaking into her home
South Korean actress Nana has been counter-sued by a man previously arrested for allegedly breaking into her home and assaulting her mother, her agency said. Police had earlier ruled that Nana and her mother acted in self-defence during the incident.

SOUTH KOREA: A man arrested last year for allegedly breaking into the home of South Korean actress Nana and assaulting her mother has counter-sued the entertainer, her agency Sublime said on Friday (2 Jan 2026).
The suspect, a man in his 30s, was detained in November on charges of armed robbery causing injury after allegedly entering the residence Nana shares with her mother in Guri, Gyeonggi Province, while carrying a weapon.
According to the agency, the man encountered Nana’s mother inside the house and allegedly assaulted her.
Alleged assault inside the home
Nana was asleep at the time but woke after hearing her mother’s screams.
The pair reportedly restrained the suspect together and contacted police.
Authorities said the suspect sustained a cut to his jaw during the struggle.
Police determined that the injuries were inflicted in self-defence and did not charge Nana or her mother in connection with the incident.
Counter-complaint rejected
Sublime said the suspect has since filed a separate complaint accusing Nana of attempted murder and aggravated assault, allegations the agency strongly denied.
“Nana and her family suffered serious physical and psychological harm during the attack by an assailant armed with a weapon,” the agency said, adding that the counter-complaint constituted a form of secondary harm exploiting Nana’s public profile.
The agency said it plans to pursue all available civil and criminal legal action against the suspect.
